The Economics Of Early Childhood

What specific section(s) or information seemed particularly relevant to your current professional development? Learning about affordable care for families in poverty. As an educator I want to be able to offer my services to those who are less fortunate. Before being an educator I am a parent. I can sympathize with families who wants the best for their child but can't afford it. I am surviving but I still would like to give my children the best education, I just don't make enough money to put them in private school. Which ideas/statements/resources, either on the website or in an e-newsletter, did you find controversial or made you think about an issue in new ways? I feel in The Economics Of Early Childhood there will be some controversial topics with the president trying to make high quality childcare affordable.  Some of the government is use to making money not disbursing out money. I chose to UNICEF organization. this organization provides emergency food and healthcare to children and mothers in countries, that have been devastated by World War 2. It was created by the United Nations General Assembly December 11,1946. Child's Poverty The article that UNICEF presents about child's poverty, has opened my eyes. We have to help out our youth. Issues and Trends

The organization that stood out the most to me was Save The Children Organization. I joined this website because, what was intriguing to me was that the organization quote says ''We do whatever it takes to save children, and you can help". As an educator, children are the main priority and if that means saving them, we will put or best foot forward to see them succeed. A few sites were interesting learning about what they do and how they help the early childhood community. I can really speak for Harlem Children Zone, I used to work for them and I see their action play, when it comes to children. They mentor and really advocate to the youth. They even help to the best of their abilities to less fortunate families. National Head Start Association has been an organization that provides early learning for less fortunate families. They support veterans and military discharge families, that's having a hard timing transitioning their lives. I support these organizations and ho
